Study Region
The study was focused on the Emscher Landschaftspark (ELP), located in the heart of the Ruhr area, that served as a model landscape for the Ruhr region and its periphery. In order to evaluate the possibilities of sustainable land use in this region, new perspectives was evaluated in the ELP that can later be applied to the whole metropolitan Ruhr area and comparable urban regions.
