„Governance of land use“ in Hong Kong: Aufruf zu Beiträgen / Call for Papers

Dr.-Ing. Christian Strauß vom Wissenschaftlichen Begleitvorhaben leitet die Sondersitzung „Governance of land use: between place and flows“, als Teil der Jahreskonferenz 2017 der Internationalen Akademischen Vereinigung „Planning, Law and Property Rights“. Die Konferenz findet vom 19. bis 24. Februar 2017 in Hong Kong statt. Für die Sitzung werden weitere Beiträge gesucht. Bis zum 14. Oktober 2016 können hierfür Vorschläge eingereicht werden.
Die Sitzung diskutiert unterschiedliche Governance-Konzepte („governance of space and place” – „governance of flows“), um auf neue Herausforderungen, wie z.B. die Energiewende sowie die Regionalisierung der Wertschöpfung und der Stoffströme, reagieren zu können. Governance-Formen sollen so einen größeren Beitrag zur Lösung von Landnutzungskonflikten leisten, indem sie Herausforderungen wie ökonomische und soziale Wertvorstellungen, Migrationsbewegungen sowie den demografischen Wandel aufgreifen. Die transdiszipinär ausgerichtete Sitzung leistet damit einen Beitrag zum Nachhaltigen Landmanagement.

Dr.-Ing. Christian Strauß, Scientific Coordination Project, chairs the special session “Governance of land use: between place and flows” which will be part of the 2017 Annual conference of the International Academic Association on Planning, Law and Property Rights. The conference will be held in Hong Kong from February 19th till 24th 2017. Scientists and practitioners are invited to contribute to the call for papers which runs until October 14th 2016.
The session discusses governance strategies with regard to the different concepts of “governance of space and place” and “governance of flows” in order to respond to new challenges like energy transition, regional value chains and material flow management. It thus should be suitable to cope more adequately with land use conflicts, facing current challenges like economic and social changes of values, migration and demographic impacts. With its transdisciplinary approach, the session is structured around the topic of Sustainable Land Management.
